Proudly Working with The Australian Conservation Foundation

We believe that protecting our environment, and taking care of what nature has provided us is so important. That's why we are proudly supporting the Australian Conservation Foundation, to help do our part and protect this precious land that we have been given. The Australian Conservation Foundation is Australia's national environment organisation, speaking out for the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the places and wildlife we love. They are an independent foundation funded by donations from the community. The team at Dianne Caine Australia want to help support the wonderful work the Australian Conservation Foundation do, and you'll be helping too! We will be donating proceeds from our sales to the ACF, so their vision becomes our reality.

If you’d like to find out more about The Australian Conservation Foundation or make a donation, you can visit their website here.

About Our Packaging

At Dianne Caine Australia, we use a combination of glass, cardboard and PET plastic across our range of products, and choose the most appropriate and safe material, based on the type of product, and how it will be used. Let's have a closer look at each type, why they are used and how to best recycle them.

PET Plastic

PET plastic, also known as PETE, is a popular choice for many products, such as drinks, water, juice, peanut butter, salad dressings and oil, cosmetics and household cleaners.

As a raw material, PET is globally recognised as a safe, non-toxic, strong, lightweight, flexible material that is 100% recyclable. If it is put into landfill, it does not leach any chemicals into the soil.

Please rinse and place your finished Dianne Caine Australia plastic packaging in the recycling bin, to ensure they are recycled and do not add to landfill.

Glass

Where possible, we do use glass jars and bottles. Are you wondering why we do not use glass for all our products? The answer is because it is not safe or practical to use glass all the time.

Glass packaging in the shower could be very dangerous and an expensive exercise if you accidentally drop your body wash! For products that are not in wet areas, and do not travel around in handbags or gym bags, glass is a great option.

Glass is 100% recyclable, and can be placed in your recycling bin once product residue has been rinsed away.

Cardboard

The cardboard packaging we use at Dianne Caine Australia, for a range of our skincare products, is also 100% recyclable, so make sure they go into your recycling bin and not into your waste bin.

We also use recycled cardboard boxes when distributing stock, and have teamed up with other small businesses, to ensure their unwanted cardboard boxes can be reused.

Tips for recycling at home

  • Plastic bottle lids should be removed and placed in your general waste bin as they are too small to recycle through the recycling bin.

  • Your roll-on deodorant can also be recycled! It should be empty and have the lid removed.

  • Please rinse all products to ensure residue has been removed prior to placing in the recycling bin.

  • Should you be passing by our office, we would love to reuse any empty postage boxes you may have, so feel free to drop them in to us!

Plastic Micro-Bead Free

We do not use micro beads in any of our products. Micro beads are small, solid, man-made plastic particles found in toothpaste, beauty and cleaning products. They are used to bulk up products, used as an exfoliant and also to preserve the shelf life of a product. Microbeads do not degrade or breakdown in water and are washed down the drain. These small beads end up in rivers, seas and oceans, where they end up being ingested by marine life, causing possible poisoning and health issues.

Vegan Certification

We are proud to announce that at Dianne Caine Australia we have recently received Vegan Certification on 17 of our products. If you are vegan, you can rest assured that these products do not contain any ingredients of animal origin and that animal products have not been used during the manufacturing process.
