Formulated with 1% Bakuchiol, Olive Squalane and Jojoba Oil, this super elixir will help minimise fine lines and wrinkles, improve cellular turnover, skin firmness and elasticity, as well as stimulating collagen production. Enjoy a smooth and even skin tone with this lightweight and easily absorbed natural beauty essential.

Clinical study on Bakuchiol:  A study comparing Retinol and Bakuchiol by the British Association of Dermatologists 2018, used 44 patients who were asked to apply either Bakuchiol 0.5% cream twice daily or retinol 0.5% cream daily. A facial photograph and analytical system was used to obtain and analyse high-resolution photographs of patients at 0, 4, 8 and 12 weeks.

The results showed that Bakuchiol and Retinol both significantly decreased wrinkle surface area and hyperpigmentation. The Retinol users reported more facial skin scaling and stinging. Bakuchiol is an ingredient found in the leaves and seeds of the Psoralea corylifolia plant in India, and is a natural, vegan-friendly alternative to retinol. This powerful herb has been used in Ayurvedic practices as well as natural Chinese medicine, and has shown to have anti-inflammatory as well as antibacterial properties. Bakuchiol has the ability to improve wrinkle depth, fine lines and pigmentation marks. Like retinol, it can also help to stimulate collagen production which strengthens the elasticity and improves the texture of the skin.

Jojoba Oil (Organic) is a powerful liquid wax produced in the seed of the Simmondsia Chinensis plant which are indigenous to the Southern United States and Northern Mexico. Jojoba Oil has been used as a moisturiser by Native Americans for centuries, thanks to its natural moisturising and antimicrobial properties. Similar to human sebum, Jojoba Oil contains natural minerals including Vitamin E, which is key for promoting a healthy and clear complexion. Jojoba Oil is so versatile that it has also been proven to reduce the effects of free radicals.

Squalane (Olive) is derived from pure olive oil. It is an elegant emollient that prevents moisture loss and restores the skin's suppleness, elasticity and flexibility. Squalane is found naturally in the sebum of human skin and has an excellent, non-greasy feel.

Its okay

I really wanted to love this product, I tried it for three months, started using it on the 11th of December, twice a day, but nothing. I had high hopes for bakuchiol, I read so many articles on how amazing it was for decreasing fine lines, yet my fine lines are still the same. I don't necessarily think it's Dianne Caines product, but just bakuchiol itself. I have seen a few online videos of before and afters for bakuchiol where they haven't really seen much of a difference. Perhaps the percentage actually does need to be higher to see drastic results, I don't know.
The pros, it made my skin look shinier and more youthful, just didn't do much for wrinkles, which is the whole idea when using a 'retinol alternative'.

It could just be my skin, so by all means give a try, but don't expect any results especially for roughly 3 months.
